Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location : Irvine, CA or Sacramento, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Employment Type : 12-Month Contract (contract to hire)

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in HVAC system design and building automation systems (BAS) to join a small, specialized engineering team. This role focuses on individual design work, taking projects from concept through construction documents, while also engaging with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities :

• Lead HVAC design for remodels (60%) and new construction (40%) projects.
• Develop mechanical designs from concept to construction documents, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts.
• Produce and finalize drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Incorporate plumbing design knowledge to support HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with internal engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure project success.
• Engage with clients onsite to discuss project requirements, explain design intent, and ensure satisfaction.
• Deliver projects of varying size and complexity.
