Field Service Engineer - North Carolina

Overview

A highly skilled UPS Field Engineer is needed to apply an in-depth knowledge of UPS start-up, testing, and operations. This role involves commissioning, maintenance, and emergency support for power electronics at customer sites, primarily in North Carolina (Charlotte or Raleigh are also acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Conducts commissioning-focused design reviews, prepares test procedures and reports, and oversees on-site testing.
• Performs preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up, and field modifications.
• Coordinates with technical support to resolve maintenance or operational issues.
• Assists in developing Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
• Reports to a supervisor for any unusual issues or developments.
• Trains periodically at company headquarters on testing equipment and rebuilding systems.
• Completes Field Service Reports promptly and provides proactive recommendations to clients.
• Candidate will be based from home.
