Shipping & Receiving

Performs manual and clerical duties related to the preparation and shipment of customer samples, components and finished products mailed primarily through Fed Ex, UPS, USPS or other similar carrier. Maintains necessary files and documentation. Utilizes small hand tools and operates scales, metering machines, etc. and primarily uses hand trucks to move materials around. Typical shipping activities include : checking goods against shipping documents and authorizations, packing goods for shipment according to specifications, preparing bills of lading, posting weight and shipping charges and attaching information and shipping instructions onto boxes. May occasionally perform activities related to the receiving materials such as unpacking of goods; checking against bills of lading, packing slips, etc., identification and quantity; maintaining records of goods received; rejects damaged, excess or misdirected goods, routes material to inspection, stores or other destinations. May require operation of a forklift truck.

Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and document data. Maintain open communications with team members, leadership, and other departments.

Ability to follow and carry out written or oral instructions to properly complete assigned tasks. Ability to determine the need for escalating issues to leadership.

OTHER

Responsible for training and supporting new and existing team members. Assist other areas of the Warehouse as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS

RRD's current salary range for this role is $15.84 to $16.73 / hour. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
