Fixture Technician I

Responsible for the design, fabrication, and maintenance of new and old fixtures for processing production parts to engineering specification while focusing on opportunities for cost reductions and quality improvements.

Job Responsibilities :

• Design and fabricate basic fixtures for small weld assemblies to production prints with tolerances in mind along with safety, quality, and productivity. Verify processing requirements prior to fixture design.
• Review changes and new part specifications with the Engineering Department to ensure print accuracy and understand requirements for fixture modification and design.
• Train weld technicians on proper fixture usage.
• Inspect and repair fixtures as necessary to ensure consistent quality of production parts.
• Document fixture repairs and modifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
