Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for weekend day shifts requiring ARRT, BLS certification, and trauma experience.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care hospital setting on the CT (Computed Tomography) team

Department operates 4 GE CT scanners : 2 inpatient, 1 outpatient, and 1 in the emergency department

Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergent cases, with frequent trauma (Level II) patients

Average daily case volume : outpatient 12-14; procedures 10 per day; emergency department up to 40 total per day

Charting is performed in EpicCare Inpatient EMR and McKesson PACS

Shift schedule is Friday through Sunday, 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, with minimal call required

No floating outside of the CT department

CT procedures, trauma imaging, and related studies performed

One week department-specific orientation provided, with ongoing access to a CT supervisor or lead tech as a resource

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Holiday shifts will be worked in rotation

A radiation badge is required and must be supplied by the traveler’s employer

Radiologist is on-site during the day and on call after hours

Applicants who have been employed by the facility within the past year in any status are not eligible

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of CT experience, including trauma cases

Active BLS and ARRT (R) certifications required, ARRT (CT) preferred

Active, valid state license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted

Experience with GE CT equipment is preferred

Must have two recent professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

IV start skills preferred but not required
