How you'll contribute

A Lead Therapist who excels in this role:

• Monitors patients for safety and report concerns or potential substance use to the Program Manager.
• Conducts drug screenings as needed, in collaboration with outpatient nursing staff.
• Facilitates individual, group, and family therapy sessions for patients with behavioral health or substance use concerns.
• Actively engages patients in group settings, lead therapeutic discussions, and implement group programming tools and resources.
• Leads treatment planning and revise goals as patient progress is evaluated.
• Oversees patient discharges and develops thorough after-care plans with appropriate follow-up.
• Communicates proactively with patients, families, and referral sources in alignment with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Collaborates consistently with physicians, UR, and nursing staff on patient care and length of stay determinations.
• Completes documentation and assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and outcome measures such as Columbia, BASIS-32, or CABA.
• Participates in crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed, and initiates facility code responses per protocol.
• Responds to crisis calls and support patient safety planning as necessary.
• Participates in discharge planning by coordinating appointments, referrals, and hand-offs to aftercare services.
• Supports care coordination and assist in group therapy development.
• Ensures all clinical documentation is timely, thorough, and meets regulatory standards.
• Maintains strict patient confidentiality and compliance with federal and state behavioral health regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling. Additional requirements include:

• Current licensure in the state of Texas required, (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPCA, LMFT, LMFTA)
• CPR and de‑escalation certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong clinical experience required; background in chemical dependency and dual diagnosis preferred
