Job description

Sales Representative

Provide prompt, dependable, high-quality sales to customers by using proactive feature-benefit sales techniques.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sales Department :

  • Attain new and used sales quotas as agreed upon with the sales manager.
  • Use floor time effectively to meet customers needs and solicit sales of all products.
  • Present features and benefits of products to customers.
  • Maintain the computerized inventory control system along with net profit objectives.
  • Cross sell additional parts, accessories, and extended warranties with all products offered.
  • Maintain profit margin objectives for all sales.
  • Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to the Service and Parts dept personnel.
  • Keep an orderly showroom, including the detailing of units on the showroom as needed.
  • Provide accurate presentation of financing options for customers.
  • Ensure units are fitted with the proper accessories, and unit is in proper condition before the customer takes delivery.

2. Customer Service :

  • Greet customers immediately in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Handle telephone transactions courteously and friendly, with strong consideration for customers time.
  • Ensure customers are properly qualified for needs, wants, and ability to buy.
  • Attend periodic training to keep current with sales techniques and product updates.
  • Cultivate prospects with customer follow-up via phone calls, past owners, etc.
  • 3. Other Duties as assigned :

  • Treat all employees and customers fairly and courteously.
  • Model superior customer service behaviors for all sale personnel by maintaining positive relationships with customers, employees and owners.
  • Remain current with all Sales dept training as made available.
  • Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling.
  • Be honest and fair in all business dealings.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a regular basis.
  • Continually learn about the products and services you sell, while staying current on sales trends and features.
  • Job Requirements :

  • Must have the ability to get along with a broad customer base.
  • High Energy level.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated closing skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with sales of powersports products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Must be able to work effectively with all areas of the dealership to maximize the buying experience for the customer and the profitability of the dealership.
  • Physical Demands :

  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
  • Requires the ability to operate ATV, SxS, and Motorcycles.
  • Spend the majority of the day on your feet.
  • Working conditions :

  • Potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaners and other toxic materials commonly found in a powersports dealership.
  • Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes and other airborne particles.
  • Work Type : Monday to Saturday, hours varying from 9 : 00am to 6 : 00pm
