Job Title : Pediatric Oncology Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Pediatric Oncology Care Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 12 Hours per Shift : 12 (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Experience : Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience in Intermediate Care / Intensive Care Units License : Registered Nurse License Certifications : BLS, PALS, EPIC, APHON chemo / biotherapy provider course / certificate Must-Have : - Two years of pediatric oncology experience - Experience in Intermediate Care or Pediatric Intensive Care Units - APHON chemo / biotherapy provider course / certificate Description : This position involves providing care for pediatric oncology patients from newborns up to 25 years of age. The focus is on patients with various diagnoses including solid tumors, leukemia, hematologic malignancies, and those undergoing blood or bone marrow transplants. The nurse will also manage infusion therapy, biotherapy, chemotherapy, and participate in oncology acute care and cancer clinical trials. The unit may care for general medical-surgical patients if necessary. Every other weekend shift will be required, as well as holiday coverage as needed by the unit. There is no on-call requirement for this position.
