Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Lynchburg, Virginia (24501) – Virginia nursing jobs Setting : Intermediate Care / Cardiac Stepdown Unit Assignment Length : 13 weeks (options for 13-16 weeks) Start Date : December 15, 2025 Shift : 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48-hour contracts) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910 per week Employment Type : Travel Nursing On-Site Position Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Intermediate Care, Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or similar acuity level Prior travel nursing experience required Active Virginia or Compact RN license (required upon start) Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Work history with explanations for any gaps over 90 days Skills Checklist and copy of Nursys / license required for submission Must be able to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays Charge nurse experience and Cerner EMR experience preferred Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA units Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a teaching hospital environment Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced cardiac and neuro assessments Educate patients and participate in discharge planning Support a positive and collaborative unit culture Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
