NEW Histotechnician (HT) Opening in Western South Carolina – 1st and 2nd Shift

This role includes performing embedding, microtomy, special stains, and IHC procedures as directed.

Essential Functions :

Embed and section all types of tissue using paraffin techniques

Follow established protocols for embedding and microtomy

Maintain a clean, organized workstation and proper quality control

Prepare and maintain fresh solutions, stains, and reagents

Perform special stains and IHC procedures as assigned

Assist with case assembly, block and slide filing, and distribution

Handle and dispose of hazardous waste properly

Support department QA programs and documentation

Follow all laboratory safety, compliance, and confidentiality requirements

Education and Licensure :

High school diploma or GED required

Completion of on-the-job or formal histology training required

Continuing education as required for certification

Experience :

Minimum of one year experience in a histology lab, including microtomy and / or embedding

Shifts Available : 1st and 2nd shift full-time positions
