About The Position

Job Title : RN Clinical Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Labor & Delivery

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 (6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15 AM)

Experience : Less than 1 year preferred

License : RN - Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-state Compact)

Certifications : BLS, NRP, ACLS

Must-Have :

  • Associate's Degree in nursing or graduation from an accredited / approved school of nursing
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Description :

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team.

They ensure that patients and their families receive individualized high quality, safe patient care.

The RN practices in a clinical environment supported through a shared governance model.

They uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the state's professional nurse practice act.

The RN implements the scope of practice and code of ethics standards.

As a member of the patient services team, the RN respects patient voice and system policies.

Core responsibilities include :

  • Performing the nursing process which encompasses assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Providing relationship-based, patient-centered care.
  • Partnering with patients and significant others in developing care plans.
  • Practicing using current clinical standards.
  • Coordinating the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care.
  • Participating in performance improvement activities inclusive of all stakeholders.
  • Completing all required professional competency assessments and continuing education.
  • Serving as a preceptor or mentor to other nursing professionals and students.
  • Promoting evidence-based practice and nursing research.
  • Complying with all healthcare system policies and standards.
  • Participating in the development of protocols and procedures.
  • Supporting efficient use of human and material resources.
  • The RN Clinical Nurse performs additional duties as assigned.

    Strong candidates will possess excellent time management skills.

    They should also have the ability to respond to emergencies decisively and respectfully.

    The RN should practice nursing using evidence and analytical skills.
