Summary : Provides health care services apply sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in one of the following areas : OB / GYN, abdomen, small parts and vascular. Demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and / or intervention by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. A demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Education : Satisfactory completion of an ultrasound training program.

Licensure : ARDMS in Abdomen and OB / GYN or Vascular

Experience : Prior experience preferred in performing abdomen, small parts and OB / GYN or Vascular exams.

Skills and Abilities :

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and / or Safety Requirements : Visual acuity and hand dexterity. Physical ability involves variety of body movements including stooping, bending, kneeling lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stretching and reaching. Physical ability involves pushing, pulling and lifting more than 30 lbs.
