Weekend Social Worker - MSW

As a Social Worker MSW, you will conduct clinical assessments to understand the bio-psychosocial needs of patients and their families. You will provide essential information and short-term therapeutic counseling, developing tailored intervention plans that address social, psychological, financial, and familial situations. Your role will involve :

• Identifying and addressing possible or actual crises for patients and families, providing vital emotional support and crisis intervention.
• Collaborating with community health and social agencies to establish strong partnerships, ensuring that you remain informed about new resources to effectively meet patient needs.
• Assisting patients and their families in accessing community support and services by connecting them with appropriate resources.
• Gathering, interpreting, and communicating necessary bio-psychosocial history and information to the clinical team.

Documentation of group therapy and various care activities in patient charts will be crucial, in adherence to departmental policies and the National Association of Social Workers’ Code of Ethics.

Education Requirements :

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

Licensure / Certification Requirements :

Must be licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) in North Carolina.

Professional Experience Requirements :

No prior experience is required.

Knowledge / Skills / and Abilities Requirements :

Possession of strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively, and the capacity to handle crisis situations effectively.

Job Details :

Location : Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Jonas Hill Outpatient Clinic, Lenoir, NC

Work Type : Per Diem, Standard Hours Per Week : 4.00

Salary Range : $26.59 - $38.23 per hour (Hiring Range), determined by experience and internal equity.

Work Schedule : Weekend

Position is exempt from overtime.
