Job Summary : Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the student intern provides direct and indirect patient care in an environment conducive to learning. This program will assist the senior nursing student as they develop professional behaviors : critical thinking skills, prioritization of care, time management, documentation skills, and role socialization. The student intern's clinical activities and competencies will be validated through return demonstration of learned skills. Participates in the department's performance improvement activities. Provides service to ages of neonate and adult. Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements :

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing with a status as a third or fourth semester student in good standing.
• Eligible for graduation from said program.
• Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
• Basic ECG class within 6 months of hire.
