About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience or experience from a Level I Trauma Center

License : Valid State License required for Missouri

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, Vents, IV start, Telemetry

Must-Have : Proficiency in managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia.

Description :

The Registered Nurse will primarily rotate between PACU and the pre / post interventional radiology area within the PACU unit.

The RN will work 4x10 shifts, primarily Monday to Thursday, with rotating evening start times.

The current patient ratio is 1 : 2.

Weekend shifts are not required.

On-call duty is required, with 24 hours of call per 6-week scheduling period as needed.

First-timers are accepted.

Critical care experience is mandatory and proficiency in the EPIC charting system is required.

No local candidates are accepted within a 75-mile radius.

Candidates must not have any medical marijuana cards.

The RN will be responsible for managing complex postoperative patients, including care for patients with various surgical needs.

The unit supports interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and rapid response teams.

Special procedures and patient diagnoses will include GU, GYN, colorectal, and minimally invasive procedures among others.

Candidates must successfully complete an EKG exam as part of the onboarding process.

This role requires adaptability and the ability to manage multiple complex patients effectively.
