Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cath Lab Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Title : Cath Lab Technologist Location : Eureka, CA Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day Shift | 4x10-Hour (06 : 30 AM – 05 : 00 PM) Job Responsibilities and Requirements : Perform cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures including coronary artery and peripheral vascular interventions, permanent pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology studies. Responsible for scrub duties, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting with equipment setup and accurate monitoring during procedures. Maintain and operate fluoroscopy and PACS equipment; ensure adherence to radiation safety and infection control standards. Participate in call rotation (up to 4 days per week) and weekend coverage as scheduled. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Experience and Skills : Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience. Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac stent placements. Competence in vascular studies and interventional radiology procedures such as angioplasty, thrombectomy, and central venous access. Must hold active ARRT (R), Fluoroscopy Permit, BLS, and ACLS certifications. RCIS may be considered only with 5 years of experience. Preferred Experience and Skills : Experience in coil embolization, peripheral procedures, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Strong procedural knowledge across interventional cardiac cath, electrophysiology, and special procedures labs. Familiarity with Epic charting system and community hospital environments. Work Environment : Setting : Acute Care Hospital (150 staffed beds). Patient Population : Adults and geriatrics. Daily Caseload : 4–8 procedures. Number of Rooms : 2. Float : Not required. Call : Required (up to 4 days per week); weekend coverage up to 2 weekends per 6 weeks. Guaranteed Hours : Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
