Stand-Up Forklift Operator - Franklin Park, IL

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including Crown Stand Up Reach and Stand Up Forklifts, within our warehouse. This role involves handling materials, shipping and receiving, and inventory management in a freezer environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Crown Stand Up Reach, Stand Up Forklift, and Reach Truck.
• Handle materials in a warehouse setting, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Conduct inventory checks and cycle counting.
• Utilize RF scanners for inventory management.
• Maintain compliance with GMP standards while handling food products.
• Work efficiently in a freezer environment, managing time spent in cold areas based on product movement.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large facility with multiple loading docks and over 400 employees, working across two shifts. Forklift operators will primarily work in a freezer environment but are given a 10-minute break every hour to step away from the cold. Shifts available are from 8am to 5 : 30pm, requiring a high level of activity throughout the day.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
