Senior Engineering Project Manager role at HDR.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out).
  • Manage all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high technical complexity and a large project staff.
  • Produce and coordinate multiple highway / roadway projects concurrently.
  • Establish and maintain client relations with state and local agencies (e.g., ODOT, Counties, Cities) across Ohio.
  • Familiar with highway design standards from ODOT and other agencies.
  • Participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through the project life cycle and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort to meet budget and schedule parameters.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Implement QA / QC procedures and perform QC reviews on highway / roadway projects you are not managing.
  • Supervise large project staffs and mentor less-experienced Project Managers and engineers / production staff.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • PMP certification
  • Preference given to local candidates
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10 years related experience
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills
  • Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture

Compensation ranges vary by skills, experience, education, and location. Cincinnati, Columbus, or Cleveland : $120,750 - $172,500.
