Commonwealth Home Design, an award-winning home remodelling and design firm serving Northern Virginia for 40 years, is seeking a skilled Architect to join our talented team.

Our projects range from new home designs and major remodels to custom interior reconfigurations and home additions.

As part of our team, you will play a critical role in creating beautiful, functional homes that meet our clients' visions while navigating local zoning regulations and design challenges.

Competitive Salary : Base salary starting at $100k / year, with bonus potential.

Comprehensive Benefits :

Medical coverage, 401k, paid vacation, and holiday Work on a wide range of projects, from whole-house remodels to custom media rooms and more What you will do Design home additions, and renovations tailored to client needs.

Prepare detailed, modelled Construction Documents using Revit.

Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, permitting officials, and construction teams to ensure project accuracy and success.

Draft reports, proposals, and contracts; adapt plans as necessary during the construction process.

Meet with clients to understand their goals and requirements for each project What you bring A minimum of Ten years of experience in Architectural Design Proficiency in Revit and experienced in creating comprehensive architectural designs and construction documents.

Familiarity with surveys / plats and zoning regulations and how they impact project designs.

Familiar with structural engineering principles and how they impact designs.

A keen eye for detail and a talent for both the creative and technical aspects of architecture Ability to collaborate closely with clients and construction teams to deliver exceptional results Ready to have influence in home design?
