Must-Have :

• Telemetry experience
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias

Description :

This position involves caring for patients in a telemetry setting.

The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with various diagnoses such as chest pain, CAD, diabetes, and COPD exacerbations.

You will manage patients with cardiac drips that are not titrated for blood pressure.

Special procedures you will be involved in include pre and post angiograms, central line catheter insertions, and other general surgical procedures.

Experience with telemetry monitoring and wound care is essential.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

The unit's daily census is around 24 patients, and typical patient ratios are 6 : 1.

Travelers must be aware of the potential for hurricane-related emergencies during the designated season.

In such cases, there may be an expectation to remain on-site as an emergency response team member.

Comfort with current healthcare practices and an understanding of isolation precautions is required.

Professionalism and effective communication skills are paramount for this role.
