A Respite Center in Kingston NY is currently seeking Direct Support Professional to join their growing team.

About the Opportunity :

  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Assignment Length : Ongoing
  • Schedule : flex (7 days a week)
  • Hours : Days, Evenings, Nights
  • Patient Population : Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
  • Patient Volume : 4

Responsibilities :

  • Supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and building community connections
  • Assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and meal preparation
  • Implementing behavior support plans and crisis intervention techniques
  • Documenting services and maintaining compliance with regulations
  • Collaborating with clinical and support teams to ensure high-quality care
  • Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in the human services field or related area
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Willingness to assist with ADLs, including personal hygiene and mobility
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of the role (e.g., lifting, standing, assisting individuals)
  • Certifications (e.g., SCIP-R, AMAP, CPR) must be obtained within 1 year of hire
