About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Physician Assistant for a 49-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts, beginning on Nov 3, 2025. The role involves managing critical care patients in a busy ICU during night shifts, following a 7 on / 7 off schedule. This position requires advanced practice experience and the ability to perform crucial procedures such as intubations and managing ventilators.

  • Schedule : 7p-7a, 7 on / 7 off nights only

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage critical care patients in ICU
  • Create, direct, and coordinate patient care plans
  • Conduct and order diagnostic tests; analyze results
  • Prescribe treatments and therapies based on test results
  • Work integratively within a healthcare team
  • Educate patients and set healthcare goals
  • Perform technical procedures in critical care settings, such as :
  • Managing ventilators
  • Completing central lines
  • Performing intubations
  • Inserting peripheral arterial catheters
  • Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed

    • Additional Information

  • Active state license required
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • DEA License and state Controlled Substance Registration
  • Minimum of 18 months acute experience in ICU or similar settings
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR system
