Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled NICU RN with a current CA license and at least 2 years of NICU III experience for night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Level III NICU of a hospital
  • Neonatal intensive care patient population
  • Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Floating required to PICU and CTICU units
  • Uses Epic for documentation
  • Every other weekend or as needed weekend coverage required
  • No on-call requirement
  • Responsibilities include comprehensive care for critically ill neonates and specialized NICU procedures
  • Floating assignments may be required for PICU and CTICU based on staffing needs
  • Up to 5 days of pre-approved RTO allowed; no RTO permitted on Black Friday or December 21-23
  • Flexible scheduling required to meet weekend coverage needs
  • Locals accepted at the local rate if residing within 50 miles of the facility
  • Two recent professional references from a supervisor are required for consideration

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Level III NICU experience required
  • BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required
  • Proficiency in phototherapy, tube feeding / gavage, blood products, PICC and peripheral line management, anti-seizure meds, caffeine, vasopressors, neonatal abstinence care, phlebotomy, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, and ventilator management
  • First-time travelers accepted if they meet the experience criteria
