Distribution Floater LTO II
Shaw Industries is looking for a Distribution LTO II to move and transport product to and from inventory locations, while maintaining the quality of the product, without causing harm, danger, or damage. Essential Duties include receiving a pull task with information on the product to be retrieved, transporting a pallet by forklift to and from locations, completing paperwork as required, wrapping and banding product prepared on pallets, preparing and packaging miscellaneous items in boxes for shipment, and taping and repairing any damaged packaging. Attendance is an essential function of the job. Must adhere to the normal work schedule, assist in keeping shipping / receiving areas clean, read, write and comprehend shipping documents, bin locations, and store orders, and perform simple mathematics. Will train to operate all product powered industrial equipment, work with the rebuilding of pallets and in product rework, and break down and build product pallets. Must be able to work necessary overtime including weekends. Non-essential duties include assisting in other jobs and duties as needed, performing any duties you are OJT certified to do, and helping to keep the work area clean. Physical requirements include meeting ergonomic requirements for powered industrial trucks, sitting on the lift / turret truck for the entire shift, standing on order picker / stand up lift for the entire shift, mounting / dismounting the lift truck on an average 15 times per hour, working in a warehouse environment that may be hot or cold, bending and lifting or maneuvering up to 100 lbs., up to 20 times an hour for up to 12 hours, reaching into the rack and picking the box off of the front stack of boxes, handling rough backing and latex-based products, operating turret trucks of heights exceeding 25' for the entire shift, and maintaining defined productivity rate. Knowledge / Skills include reading and writing numbers, communicating clearly, general computer knowledge, writing legibly, performing simple mathematics, and using on board computer tool. Tool, equipment, and material requirements include safety glasses, utility knife, and gloves for specific hazards. Safety / Training requirements include completing required training and adhering to all corporate and facility safety rules including use of proper PPE for specific job tasks.
