The Role
We are seeking a technical and dynamic Production Tech Lead to lead our efforts in driving safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role is responsible for coordinating production activities, training and supporting team members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader with a strong technical background, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and a passion for continuous improvement and team development.
What You’ll Do
- Safety & Compliance : Enforce safety protocols and report hazards promptly. Ensure adherence to company, state, and federal regulations.
 - Training & Development : Train team members on full product assembly processes. Maintain and update training records and matrices.
 - Operational Oversight : Coordinate daily production activities, ensuring timely shipments and adherence to customer delivery windows.
 - Quality & Productivity : Monitor and meet productivity and quality targets. Lead rework and repair efforts as needed.
 - Communication : Keep the team informed of changes, updates, and relevant operational information to support a safe and efficient work environment.
 - Auditing & Documentation : Conduct audits to ensure SOP compliance. Accurately maintain production records, including output, scrap, rework, and downtime.
 - Team Leadership : Foster a positive team culture built on trust, morale, and collaboration. Support supervisors and managers as needed.
 - Continuous Improvement : Track and report on training, safety, and scrap metrics. Identify and implement process improvements.
 
Who You Are
High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment, or in a leadership role within a business setting.Solid understanding of direct current (DC) electrical systems.Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for repair and assembly tasks.Preferred experience in prototype launches, fabrication, and new program development.Familiarity with creating and modifying job elements is a plus.Strong written communication, mathematical reasoning, and analytical thinking skills.Demonstrated fine motor skills and attention to detail.Sound technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.Ability to perform product testing for color and / or appearance.Proven organizational, leadership, and communication capabilities.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.Life at Emotiv
