Job description
Title: Control Engineer (Automation/Robotics/PLC)
Location: Mossville,IL
Duration: 12Months Contract with possible extension
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- The incumbent will be responsible for supporting projects across a widerange of automation, asset connectivity, and machine learning/vision systems.Incumbent will interface directly with multiple teams including Engineering,Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Product Change Control and Safety. In thisrole you will work both independently and as part of a team to maintain andimprove processes and systems used in manufacturing.
Typical task breakdown:
- The incumbent will beresponsible for supporting projects across a wide range of automation, assetconnectivity, and machine learning/vision systems.
Interaction with team:
- Most interactions are with peers, tech lead, and a program lead.
Work environment:
- Office, Lab, and Factory
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,Manufacturing Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- 2-3 years of engineering experience
- Masters will be acceptable in Mechanical Engineering, IndustrialEngineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Technical Skills
- General knowledge of automation concepts or robotics
- General knowledge of networked machines
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,etc.)
- General knowledge of data analytics
(Desired)
- Top Candidates will also have
- Experience with robot and/or PLC programming
- Experience with machine tool connectivity
- Experience with 3D modeling software
- Experience with machine learning / vision system
Soft Skills
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills,customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
