American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Interventional Technologist with at least 2 years of IR procedural and scrubbing experience for a busy cardiac cath lab.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a cardiac cath lab specializing in interventional radiology proceduresSetting may include occasional float to a nearby sister hospitalPatients receive invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as prescribed by physiciansShift is full time, 4x10hr days per week, running from 6 : 30a–5pOn-call required : 1 weekend and 4 weekdays per monthNo blocked scheduling allowedResponsibilities include supporting invasive interventional radiology procedures, preparing equipment and supplies, patient assessment throughout the procedure, and documenting in the EMR and RISRole includes assisting the radiologist, preparing and administering contrast or medications, ensuring patient safety and radiation protection, and performing quality assurance proceduresTeam participation may include training new staff or studentsMandatory completion of onsite pre-employment online modules and satisfactory testing prior to startCOVID vaccination is required to work at this facilityAllow at least 2 weeks for background and drug screen clearance before start dateTravelers must report for drug screening within 24 hours of offer acceptanceRTO (time off) requests must be discussed prior to assignment; additional requests post-offer require management approval\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on IR procedural and scrubbing experience requiredActive Michigan state license required if applicableCurrent AHA BLS certification requiredRegistration with ARRT, with advanced registry in CI, VI, or CV requiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredMust complete required hours of continued medical educationPreferred candidates will have experience with IR lab emergent cases, embolization, neuro intervention, Siemens equipment, and CT spinACLS preferred\n Benefits\n
