About The Position

Job Title : Clinical Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Operating Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10 hours per day, 4 days a week (weekdays) + on call

Hours per Shift : 36 guaranteed

Experience : Minimum of 3 years

License : Valid RN license from any state in the United States

Certifications :

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association within six months of hire
• NIH stroke scale completion within six months of hire
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) within one year of hire
• Trauma Nurse Core Courses (TNCC) within two years of hire

Must-Have :

Description :

The Clinical Nurse provides care for the perioperative patient.

The nursing process includes assessment, formulation of nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluation of interventions based on patient outcomes.

The Operating Room clinical nurse is expected to circulate in all specialty areas, which may include orthopedics, ENT, GYN / OB, general surgery, ophthalmology, and dental procedures.

Obtaining scrubbing experience is highly encouraged.

Availability for varied, odd hours when on call is necessary.

Preparation for emergency cases on very short notice is expected.
