Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification, BLS, and experience in OR and fluoroscopy preferred.
Responsibilities
Position is in a diagnostic radiology department with work involving interventional radiologyServes a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatricsShift schedule is 4x10 hour shifts from 8 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PMRequires rotating coverage every third weekend with 3 : 00 PM - 1 : 30 AM shifts and participation in holiday coverageUse of Epic EMR and PACS system is preferredResponsibilities include obtaining patient histories, positioning and immobilizing patients, applying radiation protection, performing radiographic procedures, assisting with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, and completing all required documentationMust pass EKG testing on the first day, with two attempts allowed and study guides providedWork requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, critical thinking, and relationship-building skillsMust be able to interact professionally with physicians, other technologists, hospital staff, patients, and familiesDress code and scrub requirements will be provided by the facilityLocal candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered for the positionRequirements
Certification and registration with ARRT requiredCurrent BLS from the American Heart Association required or must be obtained prior to direct patient careState radiology license required if applicable1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care preferredExperience in operating imaging equipment, performing radiographic procedures, and working in the OR and with fluoroscopy procedures highly preferredManual dexterity, ability to maneuver and assist patients, and capacity to lift up to 50 lbs are requiredBenefits
