Job description

Sensory Stars Pediatric Therapy, an OT, PT, and Speech outpatient clinic and sensory gym located in Seaford, NY, is seeking a

  • caring, energetic, and skilled Occupational Therapist
  • to join our team for a
  • maternity coverage position (December 2025April / May 2026)

This is a unique opportunity to step into a well-established caseload of wonderful children and families, supported by a collaborative multidisciplinary team. While the position is maternity coverage, there is potential for

  • continued contract work or afternoon cases
  • beyond the coverage period if desired.

    • Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized pediatric occupational therapy services (ages 212)
  • Focus on sensory integration, reflex integration, fine motor / visual motor, feeding, and ADLs
  • Collaborate closely with families, teachers, and our OT, PT, and SLP team
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with clinic and insurance requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to our positive, child-centered clinic culture

    • Qualifications

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR / L) in New York State
  • Pediatric experience required (clinic, school, or EI / CPSE settings)
  • Strong skills in sensory integration, fine motor, and visual-motor development
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and passionate about helping children succeed
  • Experience with reflex integration, DIR / Floortime, or feeding therapy a plus

  • December 2025April / May 2026 (with option for ongoing contract work)

  • Seaford, NY (outpatient sensory gym & therapy office)
  • Hours :
  • Full-time caseload available; flexible scheduling may be considered
  • Compensation :
  • Competitive hourly or salaried rate, based on experience
