About Us

We are building a next-generation virtual obesity medicine clinic that integrates three proven components into one patient experience : physician-prescribed GLP-1 medications, virtual dietitian coaching, and medically tailored meals. While our initial focus is on the adult population, we recognize the profound, long-term impact of addressing metabolic health in adolescents. We are committed to thoughtfully and responsibly exploring how our integrated model can be adapted to serve this critical, underserved population in the future. This venture is being launched out of the venture studio of Healthcare Shares, an early-stage healthcare venture capital firm.

The Opportunity : Shaping the Future of Adolescent Obesity Care

We are seeking a highly experienced Pediatrician or Pediatric Endocrinologist specializing in adolescent obesity to join our Board of Advisors. This is a forward-looking, strategic role focused on helping us build a safe, ethical, and clinically effective roadmap for potential future expansion into pediatric and adolescent care. The landscape for treating adolescent obesity is evolving rapidly, and it requires deep clinical nuance, a strong ethical compass, and a profound understanding of family dynamics. Your guidance will be instrumental in ensuring that if and when we enter this space, we do so with a best-in-class, family-centered model that sets the standard for quality and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Advise on the complex ethical, clinical, and developmental considerations for treating adolescent obesity, particularly with newer pharmacotherapies like GLP-1 agonists.
• Provide expert guidance on the principles of a family-centered care model, including strategies for engaging parents / guardians as active partners in treatment.
• Help navigate the unique regulatory, consent, and reimbursement landscape for pediatric and adolescent obesity care.
• Offer strategic counsel on the potential product, clinical, and operational modifications required to adapt our adult platform for a younger population.
• Participate in quarterly virtual advisory board meetings, serving as our primary expert and ethical guide on all matters related to pediatric metabolic health.
