Job Title : Roustabout Laborer
Job Type : Full-Time
Summary
The Roustabout Laborer performs maintenance, repair, and general field support for DHI’s equipment and operations. This position requires a dependable, safety-minded individual capable of working in varying weather and environmental conditions. The Roustabout supports job rig-ups, rig-downs, equipment maintenance, and ensures reliable service truck operations while adhering to all DHI policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Field Operations & Maintenance
- Perform maintenance and light repairs on DHI frac tanks, including inspections, valve replacements, lubrication, and cleaning.
- Complete and submit maintenance and repair forms daily for each unit serviced.
- Assist with rig-ups and rig-downs as directed by the Supervisor.
- Conduct visual inspections on all field equipment and report any deficiencies immediately.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and ensure tools and supplies on the DHI service truck are stocked and operational.
Safety & Reporting
Follow all DHI safety standards, policies, and field procedures.Immediately notify the Supervisor of any near misses, incidents, equipment failures, or customer concerns.Responsible for completing daily timecard entries (start time, lunch, end time) and submitting accurate job tickets for billable work.Remain on-call as scheduled by the Supervisor and report all shift completions to the DHI yard or management.Equipment & Accountability
Ensure service truck reliability and cleanliness.Maintain accountability for tools, supplies, and equipment assigned.Support special projects or other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.Minimum 1 year of experience in oil and gas field service or related work environment.Clean driving record required.Must be able to work day or night shifts in all weather conditions.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds.Physical Demands and Work Environment
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working outdoors in varying temperatures.Exposure to moving equipment, uneven terrain, and loud noise levels.Must be able to wear required PPE at all times.Work Schedule
Work schedule varies based on operational needs. Rotational or extended schedules may apply depending on project demands.
