Position Summary :
The Lead Receiving / Utility Specialist provides lead support in the utility and receiving areas of the healthcare retail production kitchen. This role works closely with Executive Chef & Utility Technicians to organize workflow, assist with task execution, and ensure all sanitation, receiving, and equipment readiness duties are completed efficiently and to standard. The position plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment by supporting team members in daily operations and promoting consistent work practices.

Key Responsibilities :
Lead Support & Coordination
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to Utility Technicians to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.
- Help coordinate the daily workflow, prioritizing tasks such as dishwashing, sanitation, trash removal, and equipment setup.
- Assist in maintaining consistent procedures across shifts to support smooth kitchen operations.
Receiving & Inventory Handling
Assist with receiving deliveries of food, supplies, and merchandise; verify accuracy, quality, and documentation.Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and storage of all incoming items in accordance with food safety protocols.Maintain clean and organized storage and receiving areas.Sanitation & Cleaning
Perform and support sanitation duties including :Cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, utensils, and food prep equipment.
Emptying and cleaning trash receptacles as needed.Performing daily cleaning and maintenance of the dish machine.Stocking and maintaining clean and organized chemical rooms and mop closets.Equipment & Kitchen Readiness
Ensure all culinary equipment and tools are cleaned, sanitized, and readily available for production staff prior to meal prep.Help maintain cleanliness and functionality of hot and cold equipment.Support culinary staff by anticipating equipment and supply needs.Communication & Collaboration
Collaborate with utility, retail and culinary teams to support a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.Report equipment issues, supply shortages, or workflow concerns to Executive Chef or kitchen leadership in a timely manner.Qualifications :
Experience in food service, utility, or receiving roles requiredSolid understanding of sanitation, safety, and inventory practicesServ Safe Certification (preferred or required)Strong time management, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasksTeam-oriented with a focus on consistency and cleanlinessAvailability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysBenefits :
