Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) night shift position requiring a NJ or compact license and competency in advanced pediatric care.

Responsibilities Position based in the Pediatric ICU of a hospital setting

Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19 : 00 to 7 : 30

Unit includes 4 PICU beds and 8 convertible beds, which may be used for monitored pediatric patients

Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2 in the PICU and 1 : 3-4 in pediatrics

Self-scheduling is available with manager approval and block scheduling considered

Required to work every third weekend

Floating required to NICU (with training provided) and to L&D and Postpartum as helping hands only

CPAP, Vapo, and high flow equipment are used on the unit

Care for pediatric COVID patients is required

No patient care assistants on the unit; total care required by RN

Must be willing to work assigned weekends; no holiday time off will be approved

Will receive training when floated to the NICU

No patient care assistants available; RN is responsible for total patient care

Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted

Block scheduling may be available if weekend work requirements are met

Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license in hand

Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience

Current BLS and PALS certifications

Ability to pass a basic arrhythmia exam

COVID vaccination card required for consideration

Nursys verification required for consideration
