Job description

The East Portland/Fairview, Oregon Veterans Administration Community-Based Outpatient Clinic is seeking a full-time Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician for our out-patient clinic in Fairview, Oregon. This position is part of the Portland VA Medical Center, which provides services through an integrated network of care facilities and a distributed system of outpatient clinics and hospitals throughout Oregon. As a primary care provider, you will operate as a highly skilled, independent care provider in patient management and be a part of an interdisciplinary care team with access to state-of-the-art medicine and advanced medical technologies.

Candidates must be board certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine and demonstrate leadership and administrative capabilities. Strong motivation in promoting staff education and development programs, along with a commitment to professional enrichment, merit promotion, equal employment opportunity, and positive labor relations, is essential.

Common conditions include diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain. The position is Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

The ideal candidate must be strongly motivated to promote continuing education for staff, inter-professional training, and demonstrate a commitment to professional enrichment, merit promotion, equal employment opportunity, and positive labor relations. An OHSU academic appointment may be commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, Monday-Friday (minimal call for abnormal labs)

Requirements:
