Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at a Level I Trauma Center with a CT or compact license and trauma experience required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital
  • Level I Trauma Center with over 1000 beds
  • Day shifts are 3x12 hours, 7 : 00-19 : 00
  • Average patient ratios are 1 : 4 days and 1 : 5 nights
  • Floating within scope is required to meet facility needs
  • Epic charting system is used and experience is preferred
  • No on-call required
  • Provide telemetry nursing care to a diverse patient population in a high-acuity, academic medical center environment
  • Royal blue scrubs are required
  • Modules must be completed pre-start and annually
  • Limited parking available for a monthly fee
  • Time off greater than 7 days requires approval
  • Holiday coverage may be expected

  • Active CT or compact RN license required (can be pending but must be active prior to start)
  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry RN experience required
  • Trauma Center experience at a large facility required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
  • Returning staff must be gone for 2 years to be considered
  • One reference required
