Job description

We're Hiring : Material Handler!

Position Overview : We are seeking a reliable Material Handler - Receiver to support our operations during a short-term leave of absence. The role involves unloading trucks, handling materials, sorting packages, performing electronic transactions, ensuring inventory accuracy, and collaborating with other teams.

Location : Endicott, NY

Work Mode :  On-site

Role : Material Handler

Key Responsibilities :

  • Unload trucks using pallet jack and other equipment.
  • Perform receiving and inspection tasks.
  • Conduct receiving transactions and basic to moderately complex troubleshooting.
  • Receive materials according to material plans and prepare for distribution to floor or stockroom operations.
  • Handle materials following required handling procedures.
  • Input required data accurately into computer systems.
  • Utilize various tools and devices, including soldering irons, screwdrivers, microscopes, ESD equipment, and other hand and power tools.
  • Move products between production stages, lifting up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.

Required Skills :

  • Familiarity with related equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing or warehousing environments.
  • Ability to operate hand jacks and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Adequate hand / eye coordination and visual acuity to perform required tasks.
  • Maintain required certifications, including hands-on training, tests, and evaluations.
  • Computer literate for data entry, product status updates, and time reporting.
  • Ability to read and fully comprehend written instructions in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentage calculations).
  • Ability to perform and understand required measurements and dimensions.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, electro-static discharge (ESD) rules.
  • Ability to understand statistical process control data.
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills for dealing with variable problems.
  • Ability to manage conflict and participate in team activities.
  • Willingness to recommend process improvements.
  • Follow work instructions unless authorized otherwise.

    • Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years in warehousing, manufacturing, or receiving roles.

    • Experience Preferred

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, stock keeping, receiving, warehousing, or related fields.

    • Education Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
