Responsibilities :
Assists with patient transfer / transportation.
Inventories, orders, and restocks supplies.
Assists in maintenance, care, and cleanliness of surgical supplies, equipment, and surgical suite.
Maintains an adequate inventory of patient and unit supplies and stores these appropriately.
Exchanges information about patient care issues or unit operations with Registered Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Nurse Manager, and ancillary departments.
Assists in executing efficient turnover time between procedures.
Charges for supplies and equipment.
Demonstrates responsibility for cost containment and conservation of supplies and equipment.
Schedule : Monday-Friday, either five 8-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or two 12-hour shifts. 6 : 30A-3P, 6 : 30A-5P, 6 : 30A-7P, 8 : 30A-7P. Must also be available for off shifts / on-call shifts on weekends, nights, and holidays. May be subject to work different days / shifts based on hospital needs.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Licensure and Certifications :
Certified Central Services Technician by the CBSPD or other nationally recognized certification program in sterile processing and must maintain certification while in this position.
BLS certification or achievement within thirty (30) days of employment required.
BLS required within 30 days of hire / transfer.Clearances :
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
