Material Handler

Saint-Gobain, a global top employer, is looking for a Material Handler in the Wayne, NJ Plant. This hands-on role involves maintaining accurate inventory, preparing shipments, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Key Responsibilities :

• Receive and unload products, materials, and supplies from trucks following SOPs and supervisor guidance.
• Accurately enter customer paperwork into computer systems.
• Process import / export documentation as needed.
• Fulfill work orders and move materials to designated locations.
• Prepare finished products for inventory or shipment based on sales order instructions.
• Conduct weekly cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits.
• Ensure proper part numbers and counts are entered into the system.
• Practice first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory rotation.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Generate and verify receipt travelers from the system.
• File shipping documents including sales orders, memos, UPS logs, and bills of lading.
• Pull sample products for Applications Team requests.
• Clean and maintain tools, machinery, and workspaces.
• Maintain accurate records per SOPs and work instructions.
• Identify and report product or process non-conformances.
• Engage in self-development and assist in training others.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
• Promote and practice safety awareness at all times.
• Understand and follow environmental policies in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.

Pay Rate : $26 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.
