Location : Pratt, Kansas (67124) – Kansas nursing jobs

Assignment Type : Travel nursing

Unit : ICU (Med / Surg ICU)

Start Date : December 29, 2025

End Date : March 30, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shifts : 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week (06 : 45 – 19 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1780-$1910

Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Kansas RN license or compact nursing license (required at submission)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (2 years preferred)

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

NIHSS certification preferred

Experience with electronic charting systems

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

1 professional reference required

ICU RN Responsibilities

Monitor and provide care for critically ill patients in a Med / Surg ICU setting, including telemetry monitoring

Manage IV drips, ventilators, BiPAP / CPAP, and arterial or CVP monitoring

Administer blood products, emergency medications, and titrate cardiac / vasoactive drips

Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias

Deliver care for ventilated patients and those with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure

Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion / removal, central line care, and wound management

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Maintain infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions

Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions

Provide compassionate nursing care and support to patients and their families
