Position Title : Senior Accountant, Payroll

Location : Edmond, OK

Orion Security Solutions (OSS) is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, Payroll, to join our growing finance team. In this role, youll oversee key accounting functions and payroll operations, including multi-state payroll processing and certified payroll compliance, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all financial activities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Payroll Management :
• Administer and process multi-state payroll for employees across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Manage certified payroll reporting for government and prevailing wage contracts, maintaining full compliance with applicable laws.
• Complete and submit TERO (Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance) reports, ensuring compliance with tribal employment requirements and documentation accuracy.
• Review, reconcile, and adjust employee timesheets, including overtime calculations, to ensure all pay practices comply with federal and state labor laws.
• Partner with HR and operations teams to ensure accurate employee classification, pay rates, and deductions.
• Maintain detailed payroll records and ensure adherence to company policies and confidentiality standards.
• Accounts Receivable & Tax Compliance :
• Assist in the creation and issuance of accurate customer invoices, ensuring proper billing, contract compliance, and multi-state sales tax handling.
• Assist in preparing and filing sales tax submissions for multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with local tax regulations.
• Monitor changes in tax rates and filing requirements to maintain ongoing compliance.
• Full Accounting Oversight for Side Entities : Manage end-to-end accounting operations for smaller side companies, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, compliance, and monthly close.
• Month-End Journal Entries : Prepare and post month-end journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Special Projects & Initiatives : Contribute to special accounting projects and company-wide initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, such as automation and Power BI reporting.
• Process Improvement : Identify and recommend process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.
• Other duties as assigned
