The company offers a sign-on bonus of $2,000 for installer technicians, paid in installments. Benefits include a 401(k) with a company match, two weeks of vacation after one year, and health insurance with premiums ranging from $30 to $66 per pay period.

Primary Function

Install HVAC systems and products accurately, efficiently, and professionally while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and manufacturer standards.

Reporting Structure

Reports To : Service Manager / Lead Technician

This role is non-supervisory.

Key Responsibilities

Work safely and effectively installing HVAC equipment on residential and light commercial projects.

Follow all company policies and procedures relevant to each installation type.

Operate under the direction of the Lead Installer regarding job scope.

Ensure installations meet all manufacturer specifications and quality standards.

Apply knowledge of the refrigeration cycle including recovery, evacuation, and charging processes.

Wire both line and low voltage to heating, cooling equipment, and water heaters.

Install copper refrigerant lines, using soldering and brazing techniques.

Install sheet metal and flexible duct systems in manufactured homes, residences, and light commercial buildings.

Properly connect gas lines to equipment following all safety standards.

Pre-measure jobs to determine materials needed and ensure efficiency.

Install household appliances as necessary.

Receive, verify, and load all required equipment and materials for each job, maintaining accurate truck stock levels.

Maintain company vehicle and report maintenance needs promptly to management.

Assist team members as directed by management.

Complete all required paperwork accurately before the end of each shift.

Perform test instrument readings and understand their importance in quality installation.

Comply with national, state, and local mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes and regulations.

Provide job status updates to office dispatchers and supervisors, reporting any delays early.

Maintain company tools, ensuring they are in good working order and safe to use.

Consistently perform work professionally and treat customers with respect.

Immediately report any issues or concerns to management.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Completion of a trade program in a related field is preferred.

Minimum 1 year of HVAC installation experience.

Solid working knowledge of HVAC installation, start-up procedures, and relevant tools and test instruments.

Must hold EPA 608 certification.

Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Ability to work on-call and overtime hours as required.

Valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR), and medical certification card to operate company vehicles on job sites.
