PCU RN Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1570 - $1610 Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : December 8, 2025 – End : March 9, 2026) Healthcare Setting : 22-bed intermediate PCU / medical-surgical unit specializing in transplant, nephrology, and urology patients Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM), every other weekend and holiday rotation required Hours per Week : 36 Location : Charleston, SC 29425 Charting System : EPIC Scrub Color : Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State / Compact State Registered Nurse License (must be issued / active before start date) Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, or acute care nursing experience Required certifications (AHA only) : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Willingness to float within scope as needed Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation Proficiency or willingness to become proficient in peritoneal dialysis within 6 months of hire Experience with computerized documentation; EPIC experience preferred PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to pre- and post-operative transplant (liver, kidney, kidney / pancreas), nephrology, and urology patients Monitor and manage patients in stepdown and telemetry settings, including those with arterial lines and specialized drips Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and interpret / manage dysrhythmias Utilize rapid response / code teams and adhere to isolation precautions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC Participate in ongoing transplant-specific education and pursue specialty nursing certifications as encouraged Why Choose Charleston, SC?
