About The Position

Description :

Position : Dialysis Registered Nurse for day shifts.

Shifts are scheduled as 3x12 hours from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM, covering Monday through Saturday.

Ratios for patient care are 1 : 2.

Every other weekend is required.

On-call requirements include 2 weekday PM call shifts every 4 weeks and 1 PM call shift every 4 weeks.

Floating to other departments is not required for this position.

Travelers may be requested to accommodate block scheduling, but approval is not guaranteed.

Local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be accepted at a adjusted rate.

All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.

The facility may call off one shift every two weeks.

The facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital.

The daily patient census ranges from 20 to 25 patients.

Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services and rapid response teams.

Patient populations include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Special procedures performed in the unit include adult and pediatric hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Preferred equipment experience includes Fresenius 2008T and Mobile Reverse Osmosis Machines.

Travelers should be aware of the possibility of being assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
