Our client is the world's fastest-growing insulation manufacturer. They develop and manufacture a comprehensive line of acoustic fiberglass insulation solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, marine, OEM, and building applications. As the Plant Manager you will play a major role in planning, organizing, reviewing, and managing a large manufacturing operation. The Plant has 250 employees, a $100 Million budget, and a 24 / 7 / 365 operating schedule.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 15 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- 5 years of experience in a leadership role in that environment
- Plant Management experience in a company manufacturing mixed products like, but not limited to, insulation, glass, fiberglass, roofing, textiles, or building materials.
- Experience of having full accountability for plant-level P&L
- Managed large scale operations with at least 75 employees (preferably in a 24 / 7 / 365 plant operation)
- Well versed in lean manufacturing methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar principles
- Prior experience leading a plant turnaround
Responsibilities
Direct production and ensure cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standards.Lead 24 / 7 / 365 plant operations, ensuring uninterrupted production while maintaining safety, efficiency, and product quality.Instill a "safety-first, safety-always" mindset across the organization, embedding a zero-injury policy as a non-negotiable standard in daily plant operations.Oversee the P&L of the plant by aligning revenue, costs, and capital investments with both operational efficiency and long-term strategic objectives.Apply deep technical knowledge to oversee complex, high-volume manufacturing processes, ensuring quality standards and regulatory compliance are met.Prepare and submit operating reports to management to inform them of current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Select, train, develop, and motivate manufacturing staff to maintain plant operations. Ensure compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations.Establish personal networks; benchmark state-of-the-art practices; participate in professional societies.Conduct plant tours regularly.
