MISSION
To be the calm in the storm for customers and technicians—delivering clarity, trust, and operational readiness in the moments that matter most. When equipment is down, livelihoods are on the line. The Service Advisor stands as the key liaison—ensuring customers are heard, technicians are informed, and machines are back in action, fast.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
You’ll be successful in this role if you can :
Intake & Diagnose : Accurately capture customer issues and document repair needs with professionalism and empathy—often in high-stress situations.
Manage Throughput : Own the repair flow cradle-to-grave—from intake through invoice—across multiple machines, schedules, and technician teams.
Maintain Uptime Clarity : Provide timely and proactive updates to customers, ensuring they know the status, cost, and timeline of repairs at all times.
Coordinate Shop Flow : Maintain and update internal shop schedules and technician workloads to optimize throughput and reduce downtime.
Resolve and Retain : Ensure each customer exits with their issue resolved, their expectations met, and their relationship with Vermeer Southeast strengthened.
FIT TRAITS
We are looking for someone who embodies :
Emotional Discipline – Calm under pressure; able to de-escalate frustrated customers and lead with solutions.
Detail Orientation – Meticulous with documentation, invoicing, scheduling, and communication records.
Tech Comfort – Proficient with computers and willing to learn new systems; 90% of the role involves digital systems.
Organizational Ownership – Self-driven with an ability to manage multiple jobs in motion with limited oversight.
Servant Leadership – Committed to supporting both external customers and internal teammates (techs, managers, vendors) with respect and clarity.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
As Dan, Director of Service, shares :
“When a customer brings in their machine, they’re often having a bad day. You’re the first voice they hear—the one who brings calm, clarity, and a path to resolution. You follow that machine through its entire journey, and at the end, you hand them back a solution, not just a machine.”
This role supports customers from single-owner operators to massive corporate fleets. You’ll see the human side of this work—and you’ll be the bridge that keeps businesses running, farms operating, and families working.
