In this position, you will provide basic health care needs for assigned residents at the center. Your work will involve meeting the personal hygiene, physical, and emotional needs of residents, as well as participating in rehabilitation and restorative programs for residents by assisting professional staff. You will utilize therapeutic communication skills and crisis prevention techniques in your interactions with residents and act as resident advocate. Some of your duties will include attending Interdisciplinary Team meetings to discuss treatment plans and develop individualized goals, performing nursing duties, and teaching residents to care for their possessions. Additionally, you will assist in the transportation of residents by accompanying residents to and from health provider facilities.
