Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities. Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the facility and / or surrounding areas. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on patrol. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures. Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered during patrols. Support Allied Universal management and site leadership in maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and property. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Specialist
As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Specialist in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for personnel and assets. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will support a positive atmosphere. Monday : 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM
Tuesday : 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM
Saturday : 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM
Sunday : 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
