Government Travel Coordinator
Sumaria Systems is seeking a highly organized Government Travel Coordinator to support travel operations for our government contracts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Costpoint, processing travel requests, managing expense reports, and a solid understanding of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). This role requires attention to detail, compliance with government travel policies, and the ability to support employees and program managers with efficient travel planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end travel arrangements for personnel supporting government contracts.
- Process and review travel requests, authorizations, and vouchers in compliance with JTR and company policies.
- Utilize Deltek Costpoint to track, reconcile, and report travel expenses.
- Review, validate, and submit expense reports ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance to travelers on allowable expenses, per diem rates, and government travel policies.
- Monitor and maintain accurate travel records and documentation for audit readiness.
- Liaise with program managers, finance, and compliance teams to resolve travel-related issues.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of travel-related procedures and process improvements.
Required Qualifications :
Experience working with Deltek Costpoint (travel and expense modules).Strong knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and DoD travel policies.Proven experience with travel request and expense report processing.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and customer service skills to support internal staff and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Top salaries paid for qualified candidates.
