We are looking for our next : Facilities & Safety Maintenance Supervisor

This position plays a vital role in ensuring that our facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all legal and environmental regulations. The Facilities & Safety Maintenance Supervisor oversees maintenance operations, coordinates capital investment projects, and develops preventive and corrective maintenance programs across our administrative and distribution environments.

Through collaboration and teamwork, this role ensures that our facilities meet operational, safety, and compliance standards while promoting continuous improvement and care for our people.

What the Role Involves

  • Develop maintenance procedures and schedules for all facilities, including electrical and hydraulic systems, and ensure the execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Plan, oversee, and execute repairs and installations while managing spare parts inventory, monitoring budgets, and controlling maintenance expenses.
  • Provide training on autonomous maintenance practices and allocate workload among maintenance and custodial staff.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with contractors and service providers to ensure quality standards and timely project execution.
  • Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities, performance metrics (e.g., downtime, MTBF, MTTR), and progress toward goals.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, identifying corrective actions, and maintaining compliance with all safety standards.
  • Review and ensure compliance with maintenance and facilities policies, as well as applicable legislative requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Develop and implement EHS training, policies, and programs for employees and leaders.
  • Coordinate the implementation of capital investment projects in warehouse, picking, and packing operations.
  • Uphold corporate policies and ethical standards while taking ownership of compliance responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Proven experience in industrial engineering, safety, and facilities maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of machinery and equipment including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
  • Experience planning and executing maintenance operations and managing maintenance budgets.
  • Ability to analyze and present operational data to various audiences.
  • Working knowledge of applicable legislative and safety requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience managing capital investment projects, civil works, or new technology implementations.
